MARCH UNIPSA is a leading Risk Consultant and Insurance Brokerage company in Spain. Founded in 1939, it is part of the Grupo March, a large and well-respected Spanish Financial Group.
As an insurance group, MARCH UNIPSA has established and is a shareholder in an additional two insurance brokerage companies, along with other financial entities and distribution partners, lending its insurance know-how.The MARCH UNIPSA group also includes Aserplan, a highly specialised company providing Employee Benefit consultancy services.
Our Organisation as a Group allows us to extend all types of insurance coverage and risk management and consultancy services. From insuring the building and assembling of large industrial manufacturing plants to providing home and travel assistance policies, we provide a full range of services. BUSINESS STRUCTURE
Our philosophy is to defend the interests of our clients against those of insurance companies, without increasing risk transfer costs when transferring the risk to another carrier as well as when a claim occurs.
We provide tangible value-added service in the following phases:
ANALYSIS In this phase we perform the following:
- Identification and qualification of the sources of risk, from the following standpoints:
- Financial: to seek stability in the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts,
- Risks stemming from Operational Processes,
- Trading/Commercial Risks: analysing any potential responsibilities, guarantees or commitments taken on with clients and suppliers.
- Reduction of Risks: Analysis of risk prevention and security systems jointly with March Unipsa’s Engineering services.
IMPLEMENTATION We perform the implementation of insurance programmes based on:
- The maximum shifting of risks, with competitive costs:
- Insurance,
- Reinsurance,
- Self-insurance/Captive Insurance, providing maximum financial and fiscal returns,
- Alternative systems for financing risks.
- Design and implementation of operational systems,
- Explanation and documentation of the insurance programmes,
- Training of the personnel involved,
- Design of specific statistics to effectively manage the risks.

- Updating of the insurance programmes:
- Insured values
- Coverage and Costs
- Inspection of the risk prevention and security systems,
- Statistical control and analysis,
- Training of the staff involved with the risks,
- The provision of up-to-date information about changes in legislation, products insurance techniques and offerings from the insurance and/or reinsurance markets in general.
CLAIMS We provide expert advice and coordination with respect to:
- Causes for claims,
- Claims-related forms and documentation to be presented to the insurance company,
- Assessment and quantification of damages resulting from the claim,
- Claims settlement,
- Claims service platform,
- Statistical control of claims (Risk Management Office).
MARCH UNIPSA´s insurance coverage and services extend, whether directly or via its joint-ventures, to the majority of Spain’s Autonomous Communities, with a total of 11 main local representation offices.

MARCH UNIPSA is a member of the AESIS Network (Association of European Suppliers of Insurance Services), an international association consisting of Independent Insurance Brokerage Companies that are leaders in their respective countries. This provides us with the capability to underwrite and service insurance programmes worldwide, and a broad and deep level of experience in providing highly specialised types of insurance cover, including those requiring the support of the International Insurance and Reinsurance Markets.
